The Faculty of Regional and Environment Studies seeks to contribute to a sustainable future by educating and training the next generation of environmental leaders and by conducting cutting-edge research on environmental issues and their solutions. The primary goal is to further advance sustainable development and environmental conservation through education, research, and outreach efforts. Through its various institutes and underlying departments, the faculty also concentrates on recognizing and alleviating risks associated with natural disasters and other environmental emergencies. The faculty’s research and teaching Programmes are focused on formulating effective strategies for disaster response, recovery, and prevention. This includes assessing vulnerability, building resilience, and developing early warning systems that can effectively respond to environmental emergencies.
