The Department of Home Science has been established by Maharaja Surajmal Brij University, Bharatpur in 2017. The department offers M.A./M.Sc. Home Science and has introduced Fashion Designing & Interior Decoration (Interior Space designing) and Ph.D. in Home Science. Students undergo various design concepts, theories during the course and we have also introduced computer applications in designing apparel and decorating space.
- In Fashion designing course students learn to make new trends for apparels, adjust patterns and trends to fit the regional taste.Students can get chance to work with fashion designs and also can get opportunities in apparel making divisions and export houses during their internship.
- Students get training on software such as CAD/CAM, Corel Draw, Photoshop, etc.
- In Interior decoration course students learn tousing spaces (exterior and interior) more functional. Various topics are introduced into the interior decoration course, such as ergonomics, architectural drawing, building technology, prototype making etc. to impart the skills necessary to make the spaces look better and functional.
- Digital tools such as Google Sketchup and autoCAD are taught at length to make you use the state of the art techniques.
- Thus, the course aims to equipping the students with necessary proficiencies for known careers with introduction to entrepreneurial skills in Fashion Designing and Interior Decoration and industries.
